Move On

This coming Wednesday, I'm going to the Vote For Change tour in Phoenix (www.moveonpac.org). Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, and Keb Mo. My friend Cathy has two tickets and invited me. This should prove to be an interesting way to participate in both live entertainment and the political scene. Having seen some of these artists on a DVD documentary of their performances 20-some years ago at Battery Park with their No Nuke concert, it will be intriguing to see them performing in a new millennium for similar purpose.

Too bad cameras are not allowed. I should figure out how to get myself classified as "press" and then I can take my cameras into places with a bit more ease (perhaps).

I'm missing out on small time politics (homeowners association meeting and officer elections) to attend the concert. If I go to the meeting instead, no doubt I will be nominated and probably elected to office since I'm the second longest owning owner in our association and I've not yet served as an officer in 9 years of being a member. I'm sure since two of my neighbors are hardcore Democrats they will love it that I'm going to the concert.

The other irony is that the concert is in Cricket Pavilion (www.cricket-pavilion.com) and I think Cricket is one of the only cell phone vendors I don't offer through www.talkvalue.net.
