Jeopardizing One's Self

So my sister's wild hair idea and my wild hair agreement to pursue becoming a contestent on Jeopardy! game show at least got me to study history. It also led me to a fancy resort in Scottsdale, Arizona where I was one of about fifty would-be contestants to take Jeopardy written test. Four people out of the fifty were selected to possibly appear on television; the rest of us went outside and stood on the sidewalk and waited for the valet to bring our cars around to us. This was my first time among a collection of trivia nerds.

I'm not disappointed I didn't get selected...one has to be razor sharp with both knowledge and speed (I lack the latter). What got me snarled around the snapline is that some of the questions I missed were ones I had studied and should have answered correctly.

At any rate, the audition is over and I can try again next year if I want. The byproducts of the process were a couple free dinners from friends and a nice weekend in the Phoenix area...the wind blew away the smog, if you can believe that.
