Soccer Game

Soccer game today (Sunday)...our team rep is fuming...she's a sergeant in the Army and we only had 7 players show up today and had to borrow from the other team...we even got a new guy on our team but still had to play 9 players against 11 players...we got beat 8 to 4...if we could ever get all our folks to show up, we would be winning or tying ever game...but hey, I made a great pass and our "old" (he's in his 40s) army recruiter Martin headed it in...exactly like I planned...it was awesome! Of course accidentally wiped out a girl on the other team...we both went down but her ankle got twisted...I apologized to her at halftime and to their whiney guy (I stepped on his foot but it was a clean play...) so he wouldn't get pissed and try to take me out...he's the one the ref ejected last time we played this team. All in all we play really good soccer, except we've lost all 4 games we've played and 2 of those games we've had less than 11 players. So the league is going to add 3 of 4 new players and we get all of them, thankfully. Apparently one guy is a border patrol agent and is a very good player. We'll see how the second half of the season goes for us...4 games left before the playoffs in early December.
