One Hound, One Dove, One Truck

Of course my sister eventually came home.

But before she arrived, I let her dogs show me more of her back yard. Thiba took charge of the tour. You will see in the photos what I mean by him being a LOD (Long Old Dog). He is also most certainly a dog as he sat and scratched his left side with his hind leg while he was showing me the old shed. Not only a dog, but a hound dog.

Once home, my sister decided I needed a lesson in the finer points of dove captivity. This resulted in the three of us (sister, dove, and me) playing a little game of "Bird Brain". Olive the Dove sat on each of our heads, as well as on her favorite perch on the wall. I say favorite, though it's not so much the perch as the fact there is an ostrich feather duster on the shelf just below Olive. Who knew doves and ostriches had such an affinity for one another. Or perhaps Olive just liked looking at my sister's artwork hanging in a frame nearby.

My sister has a new (to her) vehicle. It's a Chevy S10 4x4 with topper, a really sharp rig. Nevermind we got to walk several city blocks to my sister's house when the water pump went out on us. It is still a really nice-looking truck. It also allows her to put the hounds in the bed when she is off on her adventures around the city.
