It's been some time since I've written an entry here, so I figured today being the fine Monday that it is I would lay some words down for you.
I'm currently studying for my audition for the Jeopardy! Game show. It's in early April up in Scottsdale at The Phoenician www.thephoenician.com The way this works is that there is a 50-question written test, then some people are chosen to do a mock game show. From those folks, the best are chosen to be potential contestants for taping of a Jeopardy! show in Los Angeles later in the year. I've been studying a number of subjects for the past two weeks and will for the next three weeks to prepare for the audition.
The weather is shaping up here and, as you can see below, the flowers are blooming. I'm hoping to get in a trip or two up to Montana this spring and summer. I'm waiting to hear back from a couple potential jobs overseas. In the meantime, my stock trading has been a wild ride. Not for the faint of heart. The search engine optimization consulting is getting off the ground now and I have a handful of clients...word is spreading...even a thank you note arrived from one of them the other day. That's always a good thing.
The most recent movies I watched were Pitch Black, Citizen Kane, Harvey, Yojimbo, and Dr. Zhivago. All five are worth seeing. Who wouldn't enjoy Vin Diesel, Orson Wells, Jimmy Stewart, Toshiro Mifune, and Omar Sharif in lead roles...or, for that matter, Julie Christie?
The Home Owners Association is having a meeting this week. I wonder what burning issues we'll discuss this time? HOAs are a level of government that is bite-sized but oft times simply bites. The HOA meetings are the only time our little community of 9 households gets together. I've not lived here in so many years that after this last year here, I'm still the johnny-come-lately of the group.
On the family front, Mom is getting along okay now that Dad is gone. Deb is considering Bible college or a teaching degree. Les is looking into buying a cabin up in the Flathead area. I'm glad they are all doing relatively well.
I can give you reasonable assurance that life is moving along at a good clip and I'm doing my best to hang on for dear life.
