Soccer Again
Sunny skies, temps in the low 60s, and a lot of cleats and soccer balls flying. This season I'm on a new team, Sierra Vista United. Fancy blue jerseys and all. We have some good players but our first outing as a team came up short, something like 6 to 3. Hydrogen peroxide keeps the ol' knees from getting infected. A good deal of the turf from the field spilled out on my laundry room floor when I took off my shinguards after the game. My head is throbbing from three head shots I took. The hardest part of playing in this league is that we have no coaches, so it makes for a bit too much chaos to be effective as a team. I'm glad I've been doing step workouts; hopefully I won't be laid up for a week like I was after Game #1 last fall. So begins the spring season of co-ed soccer here in sunny Sierra Vista.
