Rose the recently appearing cat was taken to the local animal shelter today by a neighbor. I rather liked Rose, though she had a collar with phone number and address so was not a stray. Too bad the neighbors didn't try harder to locate Rose's owner. Also too bad I'm not more stable and stationary or I would surely adopt that poor cat. On her tag was stamped: Rose --- likes to wander. :)
Today was photo editing/posting day, car washing day, fridge/freezer defrosting day, fireplace vacuuming day, and so on. The hot tub is now 106 F so I should take a dunk in it for good measure...if I'm off to Nigeria soon, it may be months before I get to do such things again. Apparently the company with the Nigeria position is seeking to hire me until May this year. Sounds like a good opportunity for me to pack up my camera and a kit bag and head to yet another continent.
