Premieres
This is the time of year that the advertisers love and the networks love and, if they did their jobs right, the audiences on their couches love. Yep, the new season of television programming is upon us...well, upon those of us who still exclusively watch network television. Most people watch cable or satellite TV and so networks have seen a major reduction in their market share over the years. With the introduction of TiVo, advertisers are scrambling to come up with new ways to plug their latest lines. But somehow the new fall shows run in opposition to the dying off of the tree leaves and crops. Perhaps it's a psychological play by the TV bigwigs to help us get through the winters. Are television sets really some sort of "artificial sunlight" to assist in preventing Seasonal Affective Disorder? Interesting theory. Whatever the case, we'll get advertising...and that's not all, if you act now! :)
